Sometime in the 1990s, a small wooden sailboat that was a fixture in the Grand River -- bottomed out on a sand bar near the sand mining operation and the power plant --was removed and towed to a position just off Saugatuck where it mysteriously sank in exactly 100 feet of water.  How convenient!

No one has claimed responsibility for this "planted" dive site, nor has anyone, to our knowledge, dived in in the past several years.
